Can’t afford a holiday during these difficult economic times? Need to jumpstart your career in an economy fraught with volatility and expensive overhead? Stop working harder and start working smarter while giving yourself a chance to escape the “Western Rat Race” and paddling as hard as you can just to tread water when you can float along instead?

Paradise TEFL has tried to meet the needs of its students who are living paycheck to paycheck by offering a price reduction from $600 USD to just $500 dollars effective immediately and lasting until the start of the busy tourist season which begins in Thailand in November with the Buddhist Loy Krathong (floating offerings/Sky Lantern) festival which takes place each year on November’s full moon.

English Language Certification (a fully accredited and globally recognized TEFL program) strive for our students  to learn conversational English with the latest proven strategies and methods, but share up to date pedagogy and strategies as part of our teachers career development through the latest teaching paradigms. As previous blog articles have stated, the hardest part of getting an ESL teaching job is getting to the place where you plan to teach and obtaining the certifications that you need.

Many people chose to become educators because of the desire to be a force of positive change and “make a difference” for others the world over. More than ever, English is the language of economic opportunity and social networking. This is certainly also the case for those pursuing a career in teaching English as a second/foreign language. If you examine the basic Buddhist precepts, the idea of “Right Livelihood” is one which both Buddhist monks and Buddhist scholars refer to time and time again as part of the :eight fold noble path." Teaching as a lifestyle has its rewards, including long anticipated holidays, but it is also one means of achieving “Ethical Conduct” among a “noble profession” and serves as a potential or partial means of achieving enlightenment.

Teaching as a profession is perhaps one of the most conventional ways to obtain this kind of merit. But the profession also takes much mental development which also takes Effort and Concentration, two additional “right” paths for those interested in seeking self-improvement.

Many people want to know how TEFL CHIANG MAI is different from all the other accredited certifications out there. Don't  believe all the hype? Just take a look at what some of our graduates have to say!

Taking the TESOL/TEFL training course with ParadiseTEFL has made a tremendous difference in my ESL teaching experience.  I learned very valuable information about living abroad and practical teaching tools for immediate application in the classroom.  One of the things I appreciated the most about the course, besides the instructor's down-to-earth and kind manner, is the tailor-made curriculum.  What I mean is Paradise TEFL highlighted the most important aspects of their TESOL/TEFL course according to my prior experience and needs.  No wasting precious time!  Everything I learned was interesting, practical and meaningful.  I know this because I have just completed a semester of teaching in the northeast of Thailand, where I put what I learned to the test.  Teaching in Thailand can come as a shocking experience if one is not prepared.  Paradise TEFL prepared me for the ridiculously large class sizes, the communication within the school system, the levels of English training to expect, and, most importantly, the best way to reach the students, get them engaged in learning and manage the classroom.  I have had no major discipline problems all semester, and I teach twenty-five classes of 45 students each and several age groups.  I believe Paradise TEFL's sound advice was significant for my survival and success.  I have had a very worthwhile and enjoyable teaching experience, grateful for what I learned from Paradise TEFL prior to jumping in.

Graduates from other TEFL/TESL courses have told me horror stories about their training course: not delivering much of what was promised to them, spending precious coursework time on irrelevant material that one never uses in teaching and feeling unprepared for the job at hand.  You will not experience this with Paradise TEFL. They took the time to understand first, our experience in the teaching world and tailored the program to us in the realistic role we would be placed in. The training is experiential, which could not happen without the knowledge Paradise TEFL instructors possesses of the field including cultural sensitivity.  Furthermore, Paradise TEFL helped us tremendously with placement based on our time and location preferences resulting in a very rich experience of living and teaching in the Thai culture.  Paradise TEFL has also been solid in staying in touch with their students after graduating in an advisory and supportive role.  I would not hesitate to recommend Paradise TEFL to anyone interested in a satisfying teaching abroad experience.

The thing that most amazed me about Paradise TEFL was the instructor's attention to each student in the class.  From getting settled in, to starting my first teaching job, Paradise TEFL  has been advising and encouraging me constantly. Only a few weeks into my first teaching job in China, I already feel prepared and confident in my classes.

I've just finished my TEFL certification course at Paradise TEFL.  The classes are very casual, easy-going and often quite small - only a few students.  This course attracts mostly young people (which I'm not).  Often the students don't have much money and the low cost of the course attracts them.  So I've met many young, adventurous and saavy travelers who aspire to teach English.

Paradise TEFL teachers are well versed about teaching in Asia and they especially recommend China.  You won't have to work too hard in this course.  You'll learn just the essential stuff you need to know to teach well - not a lot of grammar or philosophy.

You'll teach and be observed until you understand the EFL method Paradise TEFL is teaching.  There's no set number of observations, but you'll keep at it until you get it.  Paradise TEFL instructors are tireless about making sure their students are successful.

You'll get all the help you could want getting a job.  Paradise TEFL is just excellent at providing people openings, reviewing contracts and helping with the details.  Your teaching experience will be with small groups of adults and children.

This course is for people who want flexibility, a casual setting, low cost, time to do other things during the course and help getting a job in a relaxing and casual atmosphere, with lots of personal attention.
